Agriculture Minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy fired at the Election Commission of India and the YCP leaders on the election code. The TDP government is a sovereign government duly elected by the people of Andhra Pradesh. Nobody can stop this government from discharging its duties as per the constitution. Do they want to rule the state in place of our government? Somireddy asked.
Angry over the recent developments, Somireddy said that he would soon hold a review meeting on the farm issues and challenged anybody to stop him. He would approach the Supreme Court if he was prevented from discharging his constitutional duties to address people’s issues. Who would attend to the needs of the farmers if not the Ministers and the officials concerned? he asked. Somireddy expressed disappointment over the attitude of the opposition party and also the Election Commission.
