AP CM Chandrababu Naidu strongly defended his decision to hold a review meeting on the Polavaram lifeline irrigation project. Though this has no connection with the election, the Election Commission is putting needless restrictions in the name of code. Naidu asserted that Polavaram review will be held as this has no conflict with poll code. He accused the Modi government of creating hurdles for Andhra Pradesh in every way possible to stop its development.

Naidu has said that PM Modi has also blocked Petrochemical Corridor to AP and this has denied the state a huge opportunity. Modi has promised a lot to AP but has done nothing. There have been no commensurate budgetary allocations in the past five years. Naidu said that injustice was done to AP in respect of the packages. There was no funds allocation under these packages on a par with many other states.
