The Election Commission is making arrangements to conduct by-election to 3 MLC seats in Telangana. Three local body MLC seats in Rangareddy, Nalgonda and Warangal districts will go to poll on May 31. The results will be declared on June 3. These seats fell vacant after Patnam Narender Reddy and Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy resigned as they got elected to the Assembly. Konda Muralidhar resigned from MLC post as he changed party loyalties.
The Election Commission is giving poll notification for this election today. The filing of nominations is also beginning today itself. Patnam Narender Reddy was elected MLA from Kodangal segment in Rangareddy district in the 2018 Telangana assembly elections. Rajagopal Reddy was elected MLA from Munugodu seat in Nalgonda district. Konda Muralidhar resigned from the TRS prior to the Assembly election and he joined the Congress party.
