Water Resources Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao asserted once again that the Polavaram project is a lifeline irrigation project for the entire Andhra Pradesh state. He said that Jaganmohan Reddy is not able to understand the significance of this crucial project which is why the Opposition leader is constantly conspiring to stop the project works. Sitting in his Lotus Pond residence in Hyderabad, Jagan is hatching conspiracies against the AP projects.

Umamaheswara Rao said that these conspiracies were behind the rumours being spread that Polavaram dam would submerge Rajahmundry city. Leaders like KVP Ramachandra Rao and Vundavalli Arun Kumar were giving all their support to Jagan in his conspiracy against Polavaram. The Minister asserted that nobody can stop this lifeline project and recalled how Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao approached the Supreme Court to stop Polavaram. Even KCR’s daughter Kavita complained to the National Green Tribunal. Umamaheswara Rao accused Jaganmohan Reddy of resorting to unfair methods out of sheer frustration and jealousy.
