The TDP leaders are facing even a bigger crisis after tasting bitter defeat in the election. Rumours are doing the rounds that many of them will quit TDP and join BJP in order to save themselves from the YCP witch-hunt.
Amid this crisis, ex-Minister Prathipati Pulla Rao is literally forced to break his silence on such rumours. He has asserted his continued loyalty to the TDP and the Chandrababu Naidu’s leadership.
In the past few days, there’s speculation in political circles that Pulla Rao has already begun talks with BJP leaders. The YCP leaders are openly attacking the opposition party saying that Naidu will not be able to protect his party any longer. There is speculation that TDP will have no option but to leave their party or perish with it. The pre-election raids by CBI, IT and ED are still fresh in their memory. Future looks tough for the TDP leaders.
