As expected, the newly-sworn-in AP CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy has begun his attack on the rival media houses right from day one. He gave a clear warning to the alleged ‘yellow’ media that his government would take legal action against them whenever they publish baseless reports.
In his thanksgiving speech after swearing-in, Jagan made a special mention of Eenadu and Andhra Jyoti saying that they are sure to publish negative stories against any work started by his government. He said that he would be putting such a legally binding mechanism so that the unfriendly media cannot simply write what they want and get away with it.
Jagan said that a special judicial commission would be set up to approve all the tenders relating to development projects. So, any baseless media report would attract strong legal action once the government complains about it to the judicial commission.
