DMK Chief Stalin’s strong warning made Southern Railway to withdraw it’s earlier orders that mandate all station masters to communicate with divisional control rooms only in Hindi or English, and avoiding the use of local languages like Tamil. By seeing this, people opining that many south Indian leaders need to take inspiration from Stalin.
Southern Railway issued these orders in the month of May. An incident in which communication issue between two station masters in Tamil Nadu led to two trains run on the same track, prompted southern railways to issue these orders. However, the decision of Southern railway drew ire from Tamilians. Stalin, Opposition leader of Tamil Nadu assembly and DMK president, pitched in and voiced against this decision of imposing Hindi and destroying the local language. Stalin’s post in facebook in this regard, seemed to have made southern railway withdraw it’s controversial decision.
Not only Tamilians but also many others from South India appreciating the efforts of Stalin, given the fact that many political leaders in the country are scared to talk against not only Modi but also anything that may upset BJP leaders of Hindi belt. In fact some politicians are even scared of voicing against any institute or organizations that are directly under central government. People are opining that many top south Indian politicians, who have no guts to go against BJP or central government bodies, need to take inspiration from Stalin while fighting for our own rights.
