Ever since England made its inroads into the Cricket Worldcup final that will be held on this Sunday at legendary Lord’s Cricket Ground where they will clash with New Zealand, various titbits are being shared by UK media folks, which have that awe.
Of course, many are the ones we all know that both England and New Zealand have succeeded in knocking Australia out of a World Cup final after years and crushing India from semi-finals yet again. As the match got over, news started doing rounds that almost 29,000 World Cup final tickets have just been put on re-sale.
Actually, ICC has introduced a ticket-resale platform for 2019 world cup as people who are unable to make it to the match could simply put it on a resale through the cricket body’s ticketing website. But when the capacity of Lord’s ground itself is close to 30000 odd, one wonders what made 29000 tickets put on resale.
Quick recheck on ICC website where you need to register for tickets has found that not many tickets are available to buy, not even some 1000 tickets. The resale of 29000 tickets is a hoax created by few Indian and Australian cricket lovers as they feel that already people supporting these two teams might have bought the whole tickets and they are giving up now post the semis losses of respective teams.
Anything for cricket it seems, whether attending a match or putting up a joke!!
