BJP senior leader Yeddyurappa told Karnataka Chief Minister Kumaraswamy to be prepared for accepting defeat in the confidence vote on Monday. He asserted that the Congress party cannot issue the whip to the 15 rebel MLAs because of the direction given by the Supreme Court. The rebels are still staying in resorts under the protection of the BJP.
Yeddyurappa said that Kumaraswamy can not delay the downfall of his government any longer. The Supreme Court clearly ordered that the rebel MLAs be given freedom to be absent from the Assembly during the trust vote. Now all eyes are on Speaker Ramesh Kumar’s strategy to avoid immediate threat to the JDS-Congress alliance.
