After getting success in Karnataka, the BJP has been trying to gain strength in the other southern states like Andhra, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. The TDP in AP is facing lot of crisis because of all out efforts by the BJP to win over its leaders and cadres. This has forced the TDP boss Chandrababu Naidu to convince his party leaders not to look towards other parties. There is field level feedback on the BJP’s chances in Andhra in the coming days. It’s felt that the political and cultural aspects of Andhra are much different from Karnataka.
Because of such socio-economic situations, the BJP would not be able to establish domination in Andhra and majority southern states. Chandrababu Naidu tells his party leaders not to worry about the BJP as far as AP is concerned. The present political conditions appear to give a chance but the BJP will not have a big scope to impress the masses to win over committed vote banks. Even going by caste polarisation, the BJP has very little chance to get solid support of any single caste in Andhra.
