This agricultural season began on a disturbing note for the Jaganmohan Reddy government. There were no timely rains. The government faced difficulties in supplying enough seed. The problems of tenant farmers continued despite efforts to extend bank loans. Opposition leader N Chandrababu Naidu says that the YCP government has totally ignored the farm sector which led to nearly 60 farmers’ suicides in the last two months.
Naidu asked whether the government is having any understanding to solve the agricultural distress by sorting out issues in a timeframe. There’s a big crisis in sand supply also which has led to the manifold increase in prices. Severe shortage of sand brought construction activity to a standstill. The construction workers were not having works to carry on their livelihoods.
Chandrababu Naidu said that the Jaganmohan Reddy government is becoming more and more impatient and reckless instead of rectifying its own mistakes. The ruling party should tell the people if it’s not able to deliver services to them. The voice of the opposition is being suppressed in the Assembly. The Speaker is just carrying out the orders of CM Jagan.
