Jagan Circar is turning long-established systems upside down in the name of rooting out corruption. Lot of contract government appointments are being made on one year agreement basis. There are many concerns that YCP activists are getting these jobs mostly. Grama Volunteers jobs have become very controversial. There are also doubts over Grama Secretariat appointments. Now, the excise department is going to recruit contract staff for liquor outlets.
It is proposed to appoint nearly 12,000 staff for the 3500 government liquor shops in the state. Two categories of staff are being taken. A supervisor will get Rs 17,500 per month and a salesman Rs 15,000. They will have to give bonds for the stock that will be put under their control.
In future, the government is going to do sand mining and supply on its own. It will have to recruit contract staff there also. It is clear that the ruling YCP leaders will put their henchmen and party activists in all these jobs for having total control.
