Director Ram Gopal Varma has today unveiled the title song from the film ‘Kamma Rajyam Lo Kadapa Reddlu’, like he did it many times, as he releases songs from movies no matter whether he makes them or not. Maybe this is Ramu’s way of pitching a concept to people, investors and distributors.
Whenever he has come up with a new song or film trailer, there will be huge controversy surrounding it, and this time he made a showreel of YS Jagan’s new government where they repeatedly insulted Telugudesam folks starting with former CM Chandrababu Naidu. Using all this content from the TV as the visuals, including some paper cuttings and photographs, Varma released the video with the song that explains what is happening in Kamma Rajyam and after a Reddy took over as a Chief Minister.
Keeping the nitty-gritty of this song aside, one wonders why Varma is making such films in the first place. There is a rumour that the director is still to clear almost 8 crores debt in Mumbai, which stood over 21 crores when he rebuilds his ‘Factory’ there. Now that he made this pitch video, if any producer comes forward, he offers them a package deal to wrap the film. Such that he will be clearing around 2-4 crores debt by the time he wraps the movie shoot and readies it for a release.
Otherwise, only Varma knows why he is coming up with all these movies in recent days. From Siva to Kadapa Rajyam, the proper downfall of a Hercules to the ground.
