Comedian Brahmanandam used to be one of the highest-paid actors who used to pocket more than 7 lakhs/day at one point of time. As he used to work almost all the working days in a week, there are times where his annual income is higher than that of some star heroes. Here is the reality, however.
Investing in the growing Hyderabad’s real estate market from the 90s, Brahmi made it huge and now has more than 800 crores worth assets in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states, as per industry insiders. Despite have so much backup, this father of two sons doesn’t want to splurge even a single penny over his sons. He is asking them to sit and enjoy the wealth rather doing films, a source said.
Though the likes of Mohan Babu, Bellamkonda Suresh and even Allu Arvind are pouring money to set up their sons as reigning stars, Brahmanandam is lukewarm to that idea for reasons unknown. That is the reason his elder son Gautham waits for years before he gets a producer to make a movie with him. Though debuting in 2004, he has done less than half a dozen films because of lack of investors.
At the same time, Brahmi’s younger son Siddharth wants to turn director and hero, but still there is no support from their father, says a source. After he singled handily took care of Jaffa, which flopped at the box office, he too went into oblivion.
