For the first time, BJP MP and national spokesperson GVL Narasimha Rao issued a negative comment against the ruling YCP policy on Andhra Capital. In his capacity as spokesperson, he addressed a media conference in Delhi where he accused Jagan Circar of creating needless fears and tensions among the farmers who gave their precious lands for building Amaravati. GVL also made a shocking revelation that as per his information, the YCP government is not in a mood to continue Andhra Capital in Amaravati.
It was only a few days ago that BJP MP TG Venkatesh said that CM Jagan told BJP top leaders (Modi, Amit Shah, etc) in Delhi recently that he was going to shift Andhra Capital from its present location. This triggered rumours on Amaravati fate. Now, GVL’s comment is confirming these rumours.
At the same time, GVL voiced the viewpoint of BJP national unit. He said that Jagan Regime should not take any decision that would hurt the interests of the farmers. The ruling YCP should also give clarity on Amaravati so that there would not be tensions and concerns among different sections in Capital City area.
Expectedly, Sakshi media misinterpreted GVL comments saying that he had criticised previous Chandrababu Circar for taking a unilateral decision on Capital location.
