Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao is once again talking about Andhra irrigation projects to divert Godavari waters to fill Srisailam reservoir. He is talking a lot about bringing prosperity to Rayalaseema region by providing adequate water supply to farmers there. These days, KCR is giving more focus on Andhra as he has become unwelcome in Delhi politics. He is not meeting PM Modi or Union Home Minister Amit Shah though his Federal Front partner Jaganmohan Reddy is meeting these leaders at every single given opportunity without fail.
It is clear that the Modi-Shah duo have cleverly pushed away KCR after seeing his over smart politicking during 2019 general election. Now, they are not entertaining TRS at any level. Moreover, their BJP Telangana unit has launched a never-before attack on TRS. Analysts see this as a clever move from BJP to outsmart KCR. There is proof how friendship with KCR has ruined the Congress in Telugu states very badly. Now, KCR is apparently focusing his leisure time on Andhra politics and projects to get undue advantage.
What is alarming is the fact that AP CM Jaganmohan Reddy is trying hard to maintain good relations with both KCR and PM Modi. This is obviously more important than the immediate interests of the state. There are fears that Jagan-KCR friendship will bring irreparable loss not only to YCP but also AP state as a whole.
