Bigg boss weekend episode is supposed to be fun filled episode. Usually there will be fun activities during the weekend. Also, sometimes, if housemates had behaved wrongly during the week, host will be reprimanding them and audience usually wait eagerly to see whom will host support and whom will he lambaste. However, today Ramya Krishna hosted the show as Nagarjuna was out for vacation for his birthday.
Weekend episode:
Ramya Krishna’s entry surprised the housemates. She played with them a task in which each housemate has to tell positive and negative things about one housemate and the catch is – they have to shift from positive to negative and viceversa at the hand clap of Ramya Krishna. Later Ramya asked Baba bhaskar to cook something for her and appreciated his dishes a lot. During the task, she asked everyone whether they felt any sort of injustice meted out to them in the house. Vitika expressed that – Ravi, Rahul and Varun targeted her during their task of getting saved from immunity. It is known news that Varun thrown cold coffee on her face and cut her dress with scissors. Ravi put foam on her head and rahul cut her dress. Ramya Krishna gave an opportunity to Vitika to take revenge on them by repeating same tasks on them. She also gave similar opportunity to Shiva Jyothy and she poured water on Ravi’s bed. Also, Ramya Krishna didn’t save anyone from nominations and so Mahesh, Punarnavi and Himaja continue in the danger zone.

It looks like Ramya came well prepared to host the show. She showed spontaneity during the show. But, even though she did her best, for audience it was like missing some rhythm because of different host this weekend. She also looked a bit nervous in the first few minutes. There is no doubt that she gave her 100% and spoke good Telugu, but her Telugu fluency is not up to the standard expected from host of a show like this. NTR and Nani set a benchmark for Bigg boss hosting in Telugu and Nagarjuna also met that standard. After seeing their hosting, Ramya Krishna’s hosting looked a bit plain. Of course, it is very difficult to completely judge her skills with a single episode.

However, it is to be noted that Ramya Krishna set a record for being the first woman to host the Bigg boss show in India. Even though her first episode was not on par with previous hosts NTR, Nani and Nag, her performance was definitely promising and if given a chance for a few episodes, she may prove her mettle.
