The ruling YCP leaders are getting greatly alarmed over emerging reports that Union Home Minister Amit Shah enquired about the political fallout of the KCR-Jagan Hyderabad meeting. It is not yet clear what exactly BJP AP leaders have informed Shah. However, there was general speculation that KCR and Jagan discussed a lot about about their future political strategies towards BJP. It was against this backdrop that Shah was gathering specific inputs.
Like never before, the AP Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) gave an official clarification that no political discussions took place between Jagan and KCR. This is the first time in recent times that the CMO has officially reacted on an issue. More serious issues concerning AP people came up in the past four months but the CMO simply avoided statements. CM Jagan also is not giving his personal comments on important issues like Polavaram re-tendering, Amaravati Capital City, etc.
Why is CMO hurriedly clarifying on a political subject which is not its concern? Analysts say that the YCP should have clarified on reports of the two CMs political discussions rather than CMO.
