Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan on Tuesday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi.
This was her first meeting with Modi after taking over as the Governor on September 7.
According to an official release here, the Governor submitted a report to the Prime Minister on various initiatives taken up in Raj Bhavan like implementation of plastic free campaign, organising of yoga classes and a blood donation camp through Indian Red Cross Society.
Te Prime Minister appreciated several unique initiatives taken by the Raj Bhavan.
In her 40-minute meeting with the Prime Minister, Soundararajan informed him about her participation in several social programmes in the state.
Soundararajan also called on Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
She handed over a recent publication on Bathukamma festival to the Prime Minister and the Home Minister. The festival was organized for five days at Raj Bhavan with traditional fervour and gaiety.
