When all the ministers in Telangana CM KCR’s cabinet and senior TRS leaders competed with each other in congratulating KCR for landslide victory for TRS in Huzurnagar bypoll, senior ministers T Harish Rao and Etela Rajender, who worked with KCR and for growth of TRS day and night since inception of TRS in 2001, remained silent.
KCR’s son KTR, daughter Kavitha took to twitter to congragulate KCR and posted his lifesize pictures on their Twitter handle.
Other ministers issued official press releases congratulating KCR.
But Harish and Etela did not make any tweets or sent any official press releases through their PROs in media whatsapp groups.
Interestingly, the PROs of both the ministers posted information of respective official programmes attended by them but did not post anything on Huzurnagar victory.
This glaring exception has become a subject of hot debate in political as well as in TRS circles.
It’s an open secret that KCR has sidelined Harish and Etela in the party and in the government after he assumed office as CM for second term in December 2018.
These leaders are reportedly upset at CM for ignoring senior and tested leaders like them and encouraging defectors in TRS who came from other parties for minister and party posts.
Harish and Etela were not given any responsibilities for Huzurnagar bypoll.
This angered supporters of Harish and Etela in TRS, who wished TRS lose Huzurnagar bypoll so that KCR’s arrogance will come down and he will again give deserved prominence to Harish and Etela.
But then, TRS had won Huzurnagar seat with a historic majority.
This naturally came as a shocker for Harish and Etela supporters in TRS.
The fact that both these leaders did not respond on TRS victory proves that they were not happy at the way the things are going on in TRS after it came to power for the second term.
However, since KCR became even more stronger with Huzurnagar landslide victory, there is little Harish and Etela can do to challenge KCR at this juncture and have no option but to wait for the right time to strike back.
