The opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has reacted sharply after the Nampally CBI Special Court dismissed AP CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s petition for personal exemption from every-Friday court appearances. The TDP says that it is clear today that CM Jagan will go back to jail sooner than later. Former Minister Kalva Srinivasulu said that it is better at least now for Jagan to step down since his continuation in CM post any longer would be improper. It would only bring shame to the highly respectable post.
Political circles in Telugu states are stunned and surprised at the sudden turn in CBI stand. The worst fears of YCP leaders are getting confirmed that it is just a matter of time for the CBI to send Jaganmohan Reddy back to jail. TDP says that going by previous cases involving many leaders like Lalu Prasad Yadav, nobody can escape from CBI cases and Jagan is no exception despite his enormous financial strength.
The TDP leaders are asking Jagan to do some soul-searching at least now and save the Andhra people from further shaming in front of the rest of the country. Already, AP is being seen as an unwanted pariah state. These bad things are happening to AP after YCP came to power and started humiliating industrialists and demolishing established systems and concepts.
