Whistle is a success in the Telugu States as the film has collected 10 cr share by the end of the second weekend. Theatrical rights of the film are values for 10 cr. This is the first 10 crore film for Vijay. The actor who started with 2 cr share in 2016 with Police (Theri dub) has now reached 10 cr market in the Telugu States whereas the story is not the same with Telugu heroes in Tamil Nadu (article about this later). Individual area buyers for Krishna, East & West are yet to breakeven which is expected to be done by the full run.
