Hits and flops are common in the film industry. A director can give a series of flops and he can bounce back with a blockbuster. It is just a matter of time and a good script. A few days back Kona Venkat spoke to the media and unleashed his anger on director Sreenu Vytla. He also blamed the director for the flop and said that Brucelee pulled his credibility and image down, and that a huge chunk of scenes that he suggested in the script were not used because of which the result turned out to be different.
The media looks at this statement as unnecessary and uncalled for and feels that he is using this to promote Shankarabharanam which is due for release. He must have been thoroughly upset by the Brucelee outcome and wanted to steer clear of the debacle. Sources in the Bruce Lee team say that it is good that the writer’s content has been spiked otherwise even the first day collections would have ended with the morning show. Also if the writer’s work was so good, the hero would have definitely okayed it. The Director’s Association had made a note of the outburst but Sreenu Vytla is unlikely to react or fall into his trap. Meanwhile director A.S. Ravi Kumar Chowdary deeply hurt at the statements spoke to Telugu360.com and said the writer was crossing his limits and one more word from him, he will not remain a silent spectator. Will the war of words continue or will it die a natural death with the outcome of Shankarabharanam?
