Till yesterday, TRS was an unquestionable political force in Telangana.
But after humiliating defeat in the hands of BJP’s Etala Rajender in Huzurabad Assembly bypoll on Tuesday, the ‘bad time’ for TRS seems to have started in Telangana.
TRS chief and Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao had announced to hold Telangana Vijaya Garjana Sabha in Warangal by mobilising ten lakh people on November 15.
KCR planned this massive public meeting to celebrate the two decades of formation of TRS.
However, he suddenly postponed this meeting to November 29 within hours before Huzurabad bypoll counting raising speculations that KCR had alrady sensed TRS defeat and for that reason he postponed the meet as it would be difficult to organise such a grand meeting within two weeks after defeat as party leaders and cadre will be in a state of shock.
Ministers, TRS MLAs, MLCs, MPs and senior leaders are searching for a suitable 600 acres to 700 acres land parcel near Warangal town for holding this meeting.
When ministers Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Satyavathi Rathod, former deputy CM Kadiam Srihari and party MLAs in Devannapeta village in Hasanparthi mandal to identify land parcel, farmers of Devannapet village rushed to the spot and obstructed them from examining their lands.
Villages told them that they will not allow holding TRS public meeting in their village as their agriculture lands and crops will be damaged.
They raised slogans against KCR, TRS and ministers.
With this, TRS leaders left the venue without examining the land parcels.
