Genius filmmaker Shankar will be joining forces with Rajinikanth for the sequel to the super hit science fiction action thriller Robot. The production house behind this much awaited film has already confirmed that Robot 2 will be the most expensive Indian film till date. The latest update is that pre production work is done and dusted.
According to an official statement, the makers have confirmed that the film will be launched tomorrow on the eve of Rajinikanth’s 65th birthday. Rajinikanth already requested his fans and family members to stay away from the celebrations due to the heartbreak caused by the floods in and around Chennai. It is learnt the launch will be a low key affair.
The regular shooting will commence from December 16th and it is heard that Shankar is planning to shoot the film in the uncharted territories around globe. Amy Jackson will play the film’s leading lady and the remaining cast is yet to be announced.
Baahubali fame VFX supervisor Srinivas Mohan will design the visual effects and AR Rahman will score the soundtrack. Lyca International banner is going to shepherd the high budget visual thriller.
