Veteran singer KK had a live concert in Kolkata last evening and the 53-year-old singer collapsed at his hotel after the concert was completed. The doctors at CMRI Hospital announced that the singer was brought dead to the hospital. KK’s original name is Krishnakumar Kunnath and he has songs in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Marathi, Bengali, Kannada and Malayalam to his credit. He married his childhood friend Jyothi in the year 1991. KK is survived by his wife and two kids. His family members are expected to reach Kolkata this morning and his mortal remains are sent for post-mortem.

The entire nation is left in shock by the sudden demise of KK. Right from the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to several film celebrities offered their condolences to the family of KK. He performed live at Nazrul Mancha in Kolkata yesterday evening. He sang close to 3000 songs in various Indian languages. He started his career in 1985 and he emerged as one of the leading singers in the nation. His fans, film fraternity and the people of the nation are in shock. Rest in peace KK.
