TDP chief and leader of opposition, Nara Chandrababu Naidu is all set to launch his extensive tour programme across the state from June 15. He is planning to stay for three days in every Lok Sabha constituency.
According to the party sources, the TDP chief had finalised the programme for the next one year covering all the 26 districts in the state. Taking the Lok Sabha constituency as base for his tour programme, Chandrababu Naidu wants to conduct road shows in at least 80 Assembly constituencies in the next 12 months.
Chandrababu Naidu initially planned a bus tour and had proposed padayatra for Lokesh. However, to avoid duplication of programmes Chandrababu Naidu had made up his mind to launch the tour programme on his own. He wants the party leaders and the media to focus on his programme that would make people too focus on him.
The tour schedule is also tentatively finalised, the source said. As Chandrababu Naidu plans to stay for three days in every Parliamentary constituency, he plans to organise party founder late N T Rama Rao’s birth centenary celebrations on the first day.
The second day would be dedicated for interaction with the party leaders, professionals in the area while the third day would be left for the party chief to conduct road shows at least in two Assembly constituencies. He would conduct the road shows both in the morning and evening.
Chandrababu Naidu is firm on defeating Jagan Mohan Reddy in the next election and has taken the 2024 election seriously, despite his aging problem. He is not ready to leave the campaign to Lokesh, as people and even some of the party leaders are yet to accept the young leader.
