TDP politburo member, Varla Ramaiah, on Wednesday demanded a CBI investigation into the offer made by Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, of a diamond watch to a High Court judge.
The CBI investigation should be ordered into how Executive Officer (EO) of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), Dharma Reddy, and YSRCP MP, Vemreddi Prabhaker Reddy, Ramaiah said addressing the media. “Jagan has made an attempt to entice the High Court judge through these two leaders to safely come out of his cases,” the TDP politburo member stated.
Demanding Jagan’s reply to the people on this matter, Ramaiah felt that Jagan is following the path of Karnataka leader and mining expert, Gali Janardhan Reddy. He termed TTD EO, Dharma Reddy, as a king of lobbying and a crown of influencing the persons.
Observing that Jagan is an accused in several cases, he will be sentenced for life if the fate is not in his favor and if the inquiry is done properly. To safely come out of these cases, he approached all those available and prayed to all the Gods, Ramaiah remarked. As part of this exercise, he offered through Dharma Reddy and Prabhakar Reddy the diamond watch to the High Court judge during the Carona time in 2021, he said.
Should such a lobbyist like Dharma Reddy head the world most famous temple, the TTD, Ramaiah asked and said that even there are allegations against him that he had managed the military hospital in the case of YSRCP rebel MP, Raghu Ramakrishnam Raju. While he was working in New Delhi cases under 14 separate Sections have been registered against him, the TDP politburo member said and also asked whether the personal assistant of Dharma Reddy did not commit suicide.
Making it clear that this kind of activities will no longer be allowed, Ramaiah said that both who accept and offer bribes are eligible for severe punishment. Demanding that both Dharma Reddy and Prabhakar Reddy be arrested after registering cases, he said the Rs 2 cr is shown in whose account and a CBI probe should be ordered into the whole episode.
