The Telugu Desam Party strategic meeting on Saturday discussed the fall out of suspending YSR Congress Party MLA R K Roja. It took stock of the developments took place inside and outside of the state assembly. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu chaired the meeting.
Hyderabad: A strategic meeting of the ruling TDP held here on Saturday has discussed in detail the events unfolded after the YSR Congress Party MLA R K Roja has been suspended from the assembly for one year. The issue has come up during the party’s Assembly Strategy Meeting held at state secretariat in the evening attended by Minister for Legislative Affairs Yanamala Rama Krishnudu, Labour Minister K Atcchannaidu, Chif Whip K Srinivasulu and other senior party leaders.
The party leaders and ministers told to Naidu, that the suspended MLA has tried to enter the assembly premises, and the marshals on the duty had stopped her. But, when Roja tried to make her way into the premises. This made the marshals to parcel her out of the assembly premises and handed over to the police. In turn, the police when trying to bundled her into the waiting police van, she had sustained a minor injury.
The TDP chief was further informed that the YSRCP MLA was first taken to Nampally Police Station. When she complained of pain and high blood pressure, Roja was sent to get admitted to a hospital.
Also, as the police were under the control of Telangana state, and none of the officials belonging to AP have involved in it. So, the YSRCP can not make any issue out of it to gain political mileage, they reportedly assured to Naidu.
The meeting has also discussed on the party’s strategy for the remaining three days of the winter session of the assembly. In particular, the Chief Minister has asked the party leaders and ministers to proactively take part when the issue of bauxite mining in Visakhapatnam forest areas is to come up for discussion on Monday. Expressing dissatisfaction over the poor show put up by several minister, Naidu has learnt to have asked them to prepare well on the subject, and to take on the YSRCP, which had earlier made the bauxite mining a big issue.
