Koratala Siva has been facing plagiarism allegations for Srimanthudu and Acharya. The issue of Acharya was settled outside the court between the parties and there was no noise about the controversy. But it damaged the image of Koratala Siva as a writer and as a director. Sarath Chandra, the writer of Chachentha Prema has been fighting an issue about the plagiarism of Srimanthudu in the court from the past 12 years. The Supreme Court announced the verdict in his favour and Koratala Siva is now in trouble.
Sarath Chandra has been giving interviews and explained about the entire controversy and the consequences that made him approach the court. He also made it clear that the village name Devarakota too was used without changing from his novel. Sarath Chandra explained all the similar points in the novel and in Srimanthudu. It’s high time for Koratala Siva to step out and respond before the issue damages his image completely. He is directing NTR’s Devara and this controversy will surely make an impact on the project. The Supreme Court supported the High Court’s order and initiate criminal proceedings. Writer Sarath Chandra is not demanding any money but he wants a public apology from Koratala Siva.
