Congress Rajya Sabha member Dr KVP Ramachandrarao is worried about Naidu’s health. According to KVP, as he is popular in the state, Naidu’s memory power is fading due to Alzheimer’s disease, which he said is still in early stages. No doubt KVP is a qualified doctor. But one can question his competency in diagnosing the disease of chief minister Naidu, as he never practiced the profession. Ever since Rao earned his degree in medicine, he has been practicing politics, instead of the health science.
He, however, cautioned Naidu to ensure that his falling memory not hurt the future of people of Andhra Pradesh. The Congress leader found fault with Naidu’s open call to the people not to repay the loans taken from the call-money lenders. Naidu might have forgotten that before giving a call, he should first formulate the guidelines. Dubbing the CM Naidu’s call to the people as irresponsible, KVP said this type thoughtless statements finally harm the interests of the people.
Another thing Naidu forgotten was the important recommendations made by Sivaramakrishnan committee in connection with the building of capital on the banks of River Krishna and in the vicinity of Kondaveeti Vagu.
He questioned the CM’s justification in appointing Municipal minister P Nayarana as the head of the committee on the construction of Capital Amaravati.
“What are Narayana’s qualifications? How is Narayana’s committee more qualified than the committee appointed under the chairmanship Sivaramakrishnan?” KVP asked.
KVP, who rarely speaks to media, today addressed a press conference in Delhi, said it was unfortunate that last month’s Chennai Deluge had also failed to open the eyes of chief minister Naidu to the impending doom for Amaravati.
” I am not holding media conference to demand Naidu to change his Capital plans. I would like to request him to study the recommendations of Sivaramakrishnan Committee, appointed by the centre , to suggest the locations for new capital for Andhra Pradesh, in the light of Chennai floods,” he said.
“Andhra Pradesh would become a colony for Singapore companies if the government were to bow down to conditionalities reportedly being imposed by them and it would remind one the days East India Company,” he cautioned.
