Andhra Pradesh CPI state secretary K Ramakrishna demanded TDP chief and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to control his party men and make public the names of the TDP party men accused in the Call Money Scandal. Alleging that the government is implicating other party leaders in the scandal to bail out TDP men, he demanded a fair probe into the entire incident.
Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh State CPI Secretary K Ramakrishna demanded TDP chief and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to control his party men, and make the names of the TDP men involved in the Call Money Scandal public.
He alleged that the government is falsely implicating the names of other party leaders in the incident to bail out the TDP men involved in the incident. Complaining that of late Vijayawada becoming a center for mafia gangs and financial scams, he said, “People of the city worried of their safety and security due to all these unlawful activities happening around them.” Reasoning the state of affairs shaping up in Vijayawada, Ramakrishna said, “despite the State Chief Minister is running his government from the city, the situation is turning bad.” Allegations of government diluting the case for political reasons is adding to the fears of the people.
Demanding to slap cases against those involved in the Call Money Scandal under Goonda Act, the CPI state secretary, said that his party would extend unstinted support to the government in acting tough against such people.
Brushing aside the chief minister’s statement that three of the CPI members are allegedly involved in the incident, he clarified that they does not belongs to the party.
