Anirudh Ravichander is hands down the most bankable music composer for commercial films in India right now. This has been proved once again with the latest pan-India film ‘Devara : Part 1’ which stars NTR in the lead role. Anirudh’s impressive contribution turned out to be the major asset for the film apart from NTR’s commendable performance. There is no exaggeration in saying that Anirudh is the second hero for the film.
Critics and moviegoers have been unanimously raving about Anirudh’s stupendous background score in some of the scintillating episodes in the film. These crucial scenes got elevated to the next level only because of his spectacular rendition. Though Anirudh made his Telugu debut quite a long back ago with Pawan Kalyan’s Agnyaathavaasi, he hardly bagged any big ticket offers in Tollywood due to nativity factor. He returned with a bang and bagged laurels for his remarkable score in Nani’s Jersey. Still, he hasn’t gained any foothold in Telugu.
When he came on board for Devera, there have been massive expectations for his work. His superlative BGM in recent blockbusters like Jawan, Vikram and Jailer set the bar so high for Devara. Exceeding all expectations, Anirudh delivered a fantastic output for Devara. All the four songs in the album generated a tremendous buzz and created a sensational hype for the film. He also justified his ‘Numero Uno’ tag with the pulsating background score that helped the film secure moderate reviews despite the wafer thin storyline and haphazard screenplay.
The ‘All Hail’ fear song and Chuttamale melody turned out to be rage in the public. The response for both these songs in theatres is very frenzy in all territories.
He now boasts a strong lineup of projects in Telugu and Tamil. He is working on crazy films like Vijay 69, VD12, Coolie and Vidaa Muyarchi. Rajinikanth’s upcoming film Vettaiyan also has music by Anirudh. He is likely to dominate the Indian cinema in the coming years.
