The famous Tirumala laddu, is at the center of a legal storm. The Supreme Court is set to hear a case about possible ghee adulteration in these sacred Laddu on Friday morning.
As the court is busy with another important case today. Justice Gavai agreed to the Solicitor General’s request for a Friday morning hearing at 10:30 AM. They decided it wouldn’t be fair to interrupt an ongoing trial for the laddu case.
This isn’t the first time the Supreme Court has looked at this issue. On September 30, Justices BR Gavai and KV Viswanathan heard from several concerned parties. These include well-known figures like BJP leader Subramaniaswamy and YSRCP MP YV Subbareddy. They all want the Supreme Court to oversee the investigation.
A key question emerged during that hearing: Is the Special Investigation Team (SIT) set up by the Andhra Pradesh government enough? Or should someone from the central government step in? The court asked Central Solicitor General Tushar Mohta for his opinion on this matter.
The Tirumala laddu is more than just a sweet – it’s a symbol of faith for millions. This case has caught the attention of devotees and food safety advocates alike. Stay tuned for updates on this important story that touches both religious sentiment and public health concerns.”
