The Bombay High Court has granted a huge relief for Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra after the court stayed the eviction order that has been issued by the Enforcement Directorate. After the ED’s notice, Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra approached the Bombay High Court. They are named in a money laundering case involving a cryptocurrency Ponzi scheme. The notice issued by the ED has asked Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra to vacate the properties in Pawna lake and Juhu before October 13th.
Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra have been granted time to appeal before the Appellate Tribunal in New Delhi. The court’s decision has paused the proceedings. Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra are named in the Ponzi scam from 2017. The Mumbai Zonal Office of the ED has attached assets worth Rs 97.79 crores that belonged to Raj Kundra under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002. Multiple FIRs have been filed against M/s Variable Tech Pte Ltd and others.
