Union Minister for Coal and Mines Kishan Reddy alleged oppression and humiliation of Hindus in Hyderabad. After visiting the Muthyalamma temple, where a miscreant damaged temple gate and tried to attack idol, Kishan Reddy demanded Telangana Government to rein in on anti-social elements, which are trying to create unrest in Hyderabad in the name of religion.
Tense situation prevailed in Secunderabad and surrounding areas, as a miscreant attacked Muthyalamma temple in the wee hours of Monday.
“Attacks on Hindu temples have been increasing in Hyderabad. This is a serious issue, hurting the sentiments of crores of Hindus. But Government is not taking any action in such a sensitive issue,” said Kishan Reddy, expressing displeasure over Telangana Government’s inaction.
“Miscreants have been attacking Hindu temples with the intention of hurting Hindus sentiments and creating Communal strife. This is evident with their modus operandi. But instead of acting tough on such antisocial elements police are trying to suppress the facts by terming them as mentally unstable or thieves,” further said Kishan Reddy, expressing ire over Hyderabad police inaction in case of attacks on Hindu temples.
As Muthyalamma temple issue is raging into a religious controversy, police have been deployed in large numbers in Secunderabad, Monda Market and surrounding areas to control the situation.
