BRS senior leader Harish Rao took up Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s challenge, lambasting latter’s stance on Musi issue. Responding to Revanth Reddy’s two-hour long press conference on Musi, Harish came down heavily on CM.
“CM Revanth Reddy has spoken outright lies on Musi river beautifucation. He made efforts to mislead Telangana people by giving an AI-powered presentation on Musi Riverfront. CM said he had never used word ‘beautifucation’ and never said Rs 1.5 lakh crore would be spent. But his presentation itself proves that CM is more focused on ‘beautifucation’ and not ‘rejuvenation’,” said Harish Rao, hitting back at CM, by playing the old videos of Revanth Reddy, where he had said that Government would spend Rs 1.5 Lakh Crore on Musi Riverfront.
“BRS is not against Musi rejuvenation. In fact it was during KCR’s tenure that Musi rejuvenation was started by setting up STPs across city with an outlay of Rs 3,800 Cr. BRS Govt had also spent Rs 1100 Cr for bringing Godavari water to Osmansagar and Himayatsagar, which will eventually flow into Musi, thereby cleaning it from pollution. We are only against demolishing poor and middle class families homes in the name of Musi beautification,” further said Harish Rao.
“Revanth Reddy had even lied on the relief and rehabilitation measures taken up by KCR Govt for constructing irrigation projects like Mallannasagar. While Revanth Reddy Government has threatened and demolished poor people’s homes for Musi beautification, KCR Sarkar has convinced and moved families by offering excellent ‘Relief and Rehabilitation’ package,” explained Harish Rao.
“KCR Sarkar had given 250 yards land for each family. Besides Rs 7 lakh was paid to head of the family. If children are aged below 18 years, Rs 5 lakh has been given to each child. We have constructed the largest and best ‘Relief and Rehabilitation’ colony in the world with 4000 homes. I’m taking up Revanth Reddy’s challenge. I will come without security. I myself will drive car and let Revanth Reddy sit beside me. Let us go to Musi river bank areas and also Mallanna Sagar and surrounding areas. Let’s go and face people,” proclaimed Harish Rao, taking up Revanth Reddy’s challenge.
Harish Rao signed off saying Revanth Reddy is trying to do real estate business in the name of Musi beautification and has no vision or action plan.
