Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu said, the cruel criminal who burnt minor girl Dastagiramma alive, should be given capital punishment. He ordered officials to go for a fast track court and ensure that the criminal is given capital punishment.
Dastagiramma, who was studying Intermediate first year in Badvel in YSR Kadapa district, breathed her last in Kadapa on Sunday, as she suffered 80 percent burn injuries after being attacked by her former acquaintance Vignesh. While Vignesh attacked Dastagiramma in Badwel on Saturday, she was brought to RIMS, Kadapa for treatment.
When the news about Dastagiramma’s serious plight reached AP CMO, Chandrababu Naidu spoke with Kadapa SP Harshavardhan Raju and directed him to immediately arrest the accused. Police formed four teams and immediately nabbed the cruel killer.
Expressing shock and grief over Dastagiramma’s death, CM ordered Police officials to go for fast track court and ensure capital punishment.
Issuing a statement on the shocking and untimely death of young girl, Chandrababu Naidu, expressed concern that the life of a girl with bright future is cut short, because of insensitivity of a criminal. He stressed that the punishment to be given to the criminal, should be a lesson for all those who commit crimes against women.
