Suriya’s upcoming film Kanguva is one of the most highly anticipated big-budget releases, with expectations soaring since its announcement. This marks the first collaboration between Suriya and director Siruthai Siva, and the film is reported to be a period drama. Disha Patani and Bobby Deol play pivotal roles in this epic production.
Today, makers arranged a grand press meet in Hyderabad. Hero Suriya expressed his heartfelt gratitude to fans, journalists, and media friends for attending the event. Suriya shared that ‘Kanguva’ was crafted over two and a half years as a unique cinematic experience, made possible by director Siva’s passion. He also thanked Devi Sri Prasad and Vetri Palanisamy.
Suriya highlighted that ‘Kanguva’ is not just a warrior’s tale, but a story of fighting for one’s people and beliefs. He encouraged his fans to embody that warrior spirit in their own lives, striving for their dreams. Reflecting on his experience in Balakrishna’s ‘Unstoppable’ show, he noted how it showcased Balakrishna’s dedication and hard work.
Director Siva shared, “It’s great to be back in Hyderabad after a long time. I made ‘Kanguva’ with immense passion alongside an extraordinary hero like Suriya. We started the script with the concept of creating a period film based on the conflicts among five tribes from less than a thousand years ago. This story has been shot on a grand scale with high production values. Thanks to producer Gnanavel’s support, we were able to bring ‘Kanguva’ to life. When I presented the story to Surya, his confidence in the project was reassuring.”
Produced by KE Gnanavel Raja, Vamsi, and Pramod under the banners of Studio Green and UV Creations, the film boasts a substantial budget. Mythri Movie Distributors, a renowned distribution company, will handle the release in the Nizam area.
