In a significant administrative move, the Andhra Pradesh government has appointed IAS officer Amrapali Kata as the new Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of AP Tourism Development Corporation. The 2010-batch IAS officer reported to duty on October 16, 2024, after her transfer from Telangana state services.
According to the government order issued by Chief Secretary Neerabh Kumar Prasad, Kata will also serve as the Chief Executive Officer of AP Tourism Authority. She takes over from Sri Muttimbaku Abhishikth Kishore, IAS (2015 batch), who has been relieved from this additional charge.
The appointment comes as part of recent administrative changes in the state government, with Kata’s services being placed at the disposal of the Youth Advancement, Tourism & Culture Department. This marks her first posting in Andhra Pradesh after her relief from the state of Telangana.
