Opposition leader in Loksabha Rahul Gandhi is expected to launch Caste Census in Telangana. Congress-led Telangana Government is making all arrangements to take up Caste Census in Telangana and is formally launching the exercise on November 6.
As demands for Caste Census are rising from several BC communities, Revanth Reddy-led Congress Government has decided to go for a Caste Census in state. As enumerating population caste wise is considered a sensitive subject, Government is taking up all steps for the smooth conduct of Caste Census.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Ministers have been brainstorming with stakeholders regarding Caste Census. If done successfully, then Telangana will become one of the pioneers in conducting Caste Census.
As demands for Caste Census are rising from all corners of the country, Congress party has been demanding PM Modi Government to take up Caste Census at national level.

As Telangana state, which is ruled by Congress, is going for Caste Census, it will be a boost for Rahul Gandhi’s campaign for Caste Census at national level.
