One of the biggest and important states in India, Maharashtra is going for polls on Nov 20. The length and breadth of Maharashtra is witnessing intense campaigning as its people are gearing up for Assembly elections. All parties are attacking each other with shrewd tactics and war strategies. Amid this intense poll war, one interesting development being witnessed is the key role played by Telangana Congress leaders, to bring grand old party back to power in the western state.
Senior Ministers Uttam Kumar Reddy and Seethakka have been made observers for Maharashtra elections and both have been actively overseeing the regions entrusted to them. Especially Uttam Kumar Reddy, who has deep experience about Congress politics and had even led Telangana Congress, has been keenly focusing on the responsibilities entrusted to him in Maharashtra.
Besides Ministers and seniors, even MLAs and MPs from Telangana have been made incharges of Assembly constituencies and asked to provide required resources.
For instance Bhongir MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy is the incharge of Chandrapur Loksabha segment and he is seriously making moves to ensure victory of Congress MLA candidates falling in his segment.
Remember Manikrao Thakare? The elderly Congress leader who was once incharge of Telangana Congress. Wanaparthy MLA Megha Reddy is taking care of Manikrao Thakare’s campaign in Digras constituency in Yavatmal district.
Even before Telangana MLAs and MPs were made in-charges, Vamshichand Reddy former Kalwakurthy MLA and AICC insider, has been playing a key role in Maharashtra. He is playing an instrumental role in running the Maharashtra Congress war room.
“Telangana is among the very few states where Congress is in power. Telangana Congress leaders came back to power trouncing a very powerful KCR. With victory in Assembly polls, the image of Telangana Congress leaders has grown within AICC. Trusting their capabilities, AICC entrusted the election responsibilities for several enterprising Telangana leaders,” reasoned poll strategist Madhav Mallela, who is executing campaign for Manikrao Thakare, commenting on the role of TPCC guys in Maharashtra.
