Appudo Ippudo Eppudo Movie Review
Telugu360 Rating: 1.5/5
Swamy Ra Ra is a remarkable film in the careers of Nikhil and Sudheer Varma. The duo delivered a flop later with Kesava and they are teaming up for the third time for Appudo Ippudo Eppudo. The film was delayed by years and the makers decided to release it as the digital deal was closed. Appudo Ippudo Eppudo released today and here is the review of Appudo Ippudo Eppudo:
Story:
Rishi (Nikhil) is a local racer. After falling short of opportunities, he shifts to London with his friend Yazi (Harsha). He then meets Thulasi (Divyansha Kaushik) and Rishi decides to marry her. Thulasi goes missing before their wedding and soon he meets Tara (Rukmini Vasanth). Soon, Rishi gets kidnapped by the gangster Badrinath (John Vijay). The rest of Appudo Ippudo Eppudo is all about the twists, surprises and all about the missing of Thulasi.
Analysis:
Sudheer Varma is habitual of narrating crime dramas along with his stories. He took up a crime theme in Appudo Ippudo Eppudo. He also mixed a love story with crime. But the crime story is not thrilling and the love story is quite boring. There would be a goal for every role but the audience will not get connected to any role in Appudo Ippudo Eppudo. Right from the hero’s characterization, everything goes bad. The narration is outdated and boring. Appudo Ippudo Eppudo tests the patience of the audience.
Sudheer Varma tried a non-linear screenplay for Appudo Ippudo Eppudo. The character of Rishi gets introduced by Satya and Sudarshan. The opening sequence of dead body is quite routine but the proceedings turn interesting. Soon, the director focuses on a love story and the first half ends up on a predictable and boring note. The :London track with Thulasi is also boring. Not a single scene sounds engaging.
The interval episode is also very predictable. The second half of Appudo Ippudo Eppudo is quite silly and offers nothing. The character of the lead antagonist is completely disappointing. Some of the characters are poorly written throughout the film. Every twist is predictable because of the weak writing throughout. Even the crucial pre-climax and climax episodes are poor. The climax too follows the same path and turns predictable.
Performances:
Nikhil has been decent in his role but his character is badly written. As the film was under shoot for years, Nikhil is presented in different looks. He is seen in different looks in the same episode in Appudo Ippudo Eppudo. Rukmini Vasanth looks beautiful throughout the film. There is no emotion in the love story. Divyansha Kaushik is seen in a role with negative shades. Her role too is badly designed and written. Harsha is seen throughout the film but he is not utilized. Satya and Sudarshan have no prominence in the film. Ajay and John Vijay gets predictable roles and they are not serious.
The songs are melodious but they are unregistered. Sunny’s background score too fails to impress the audience. The dialogues too are not impressive. A major portion of Appudo Ippudo Eppudo is shot in London. Though the visuals are rich, the backdrop doesn’t add freshness for the film. Sudheer Varma has done impressive films in the past. But this time, his writing and taking are very weak. Appudo Ippudo Eppudo is a completely disappointing attempt.
