No leader, however big he is , is not supposed to ignore his operational limits, which are separated by borders. Recently, one Vanajakshi, a Tahsildar, crossed borders and entered into argument with TDP MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar(Denduluru) of another district. Finally, even though her intention of crossing the border to curb sand mafia sounds good, she had to receive admonition from none other than CM Chandrababu Naidu himself.
Today , in Uppal, Hyderabad Congress strongman, Danam Nagender faced the ire of his own party workers for the simple reason that he had crossed borders.
Danam came to Uppal Congress office this morning as chief of Greater Hyderabad Congress Committee, and wanted to hoist the party flag on the occasion of Congress founding day. He reportedly removed the flag which was hoisted a few minutes ago by Ranga Reddy district Congress Committee president Mallesh goud. When he was attempting to rehoist the flag, Mallesh’s followers attacked him. He was pushed and shoved, back and forth. Some even reportedly pelted eggs at the former minister.
Though Danam later took it light stating it was an altercation between two groups of party workers, it turned out be an intense border dispute. Mallesh followers strongly warned that he was not supposed to interfere in the matters of Ranga Reddy district Congress.
“Danam Nagender is the president of Greater Hyderabad Congress Committee. Uppal falls in party jurisdiction of Ranga Reddy district. Greater Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy committee are two independent committees. What business had Greater Hyderabad Congress president got her in Uppal party office? How dare was he to remove the flag hoisted by our district president,” RR district Congress district committee members asked.
According to Danam, Uppal municipal area is part of Greater Hyderabad for which he is president. “If RR district wants autonomy they can get it accorded from AICC,” he said. Mallesh Goud, however, says it was interference in RR district matters and it was not fair to remove the already hoisted flag. ” RR is separate district. Danam is not supposed to poke his nose in the RR district Congress affairs,” he said.
Congress Greater Hyderabad strongman Danam should know that borders are a serious matter in politics-both domestic and international.
