BRS senior leader and former Minister Thanneeru Harish Rao got relief in the phone tapping case filed on him by Telangana Police. High Court of Telangana on Thursday quashed the case filed on him by Police, considering it as baseless.
Panjagutta Police had filed an FIR on former Minister and MLA Harish Rao, as a realtor and aspiring politician Chakradhar Goud complained about phone tapping.
Chakradhar Goud had tried to contest against BRS maverick Harish Rao in Siddipet, in the last Assembly elections. However he was no match to Harish Rao’s might and was reportedly troubled by Harish Rao men.
However, as fortunes changed and Congress clinched power from BRS, Chakradhar Goud once again bounced back and made efforts to take on Harish Rao. In a bid to trouble Harish Rao, Chakradhar Goud, has complained to Panjagutta Police that Harish Rao using his influence as Minister and proximity to then CM KCR, has tapped his phone.
Chakradhar has also complained on former DCP Radhakishan Rao in the same case. He even made serious allegation that he has life threat from Harish Rao.
While Chakradhar Goud blamed Harish Rao for snooping, BRS heavy weight wrote it off as a baseless allegation made just to trouble him by Congress Govt.
Finally, Harish Rao got relief as High Court struck down the case.
