The attitude of TDP government in Andhra Pradesh towards centre has undergone a perceptible change.Of late no resentment is seen among the TDP MPs and Ministers about the delayed central assistance or un-kept promises. First, chief minister Chandrababu Naidu stopped talking about the centre’s apathy in extending assistance to bridge revenue gap. There has been no talk of special package. Earlier, TDP ministers, including finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, used to talk of about meager assistance extended by the centre. TDP MPs also stopped raising the issues of pending projects in Parliament, instead had chosen to meet the concerned ministers to remind the issues. No talk of central funding to capital construction.
This change became pronounced caused by the trip of Arvind Panagaria, vice chairman Niti Aayog in the last week of December 2015.
Most significant of is the observation Naidu is making in the public meetings that centre was assisting the state well. As a confirmation of the change in TDP mindset toward BJP, deputy chief minister KE Krishnamurthy certified that Centre was extending enough help to the state of Andhra Pradesh. With this help, Krishnamurhty said, state would develop in every sphere.
