During a meeting with Dominic Barton, Global CEO McKinsey & Co, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu recalled his association with the company going back to 1996-97. He said McKinsey played a vital role for vision 2020 for the united Andhra Pradesh.
Since McKinsey is serving as consultant to the Government of Andhra Pradesh to help mobilise private and global Financing for Amaravati, Barton said that they will bring in best practices for structuring the city and market tourism and investment potential. He added that it is a privilege to be involved with this prestigious project. The Chief Minister asked Barton and Mckinsey to adopt best practices in the world towards building brand image for Amaravati.
Indorama Synthetics explores investment opportunities in AP
Prakash Lohia of Indorama Synthetics met the Chief Minister and evinced interest to invest $500 million in the state. He said that Indorama is the largest producers of plastic bottles and surgical gloves in the world, with plants in Indonesia and Africa.
Responding positively, the Chief Minister explained the industrial-incentive policies in the state assured him that all clearances will be given at the earliest. A team from Indorama will visit Andhra Pradesh in March to conduct a study.
AP made impressive mark at Davos: CII Director General
CII Director General Chandrajit Banerjee said that India’s presence meant Andhra Pradesh presence during the 2016 edition of the WEF Annual Summit. He added that the state has evoked a lot of interest in the business leaders across the world making an impressive mark on Davos proceedings.
The Chief Minister requested Mr. Banerjee to help set up centres of Innovation for creating skilled workforce and facilitate flow of investments.

During an interaction with the Chief Minister, Shinichi Kitaoka, President, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) said that India is back in focus for them now, elaborating on the advantages of demographic dividend, technology penetration and huge market demand.
The Chief Minister said: Andhra Pradesh offers a lot of opportunities to Japan. Construction of People’s Capital – Amaravati, is a big opportunity. We want to complete Phase I of construction by 2018. He has also invited Mr. Kitaoka to visit Andhra Pradesh to which he gladly agreed.
CISCO to assist AP in fibre grid
John T. Chambers, Executive Chairman, CISCOmet the Chief Minister. He said that CISCO will set up a working group consisting of two sides: to study the requirements and the opportunities.
Explaining various e-initiatives launched by the state government, the Chief Minister said that he aims to provide 15 to 20 Mbps connection to each household.

· The Chief Minister asked, Michael Coyle, Medtronic to prepare a comprehensive proposal in providing effective cardio-health services to BPL and APL families in the state.
· Shiv Khemka met the Chief Minister and briefed on their company’s achievement as defence manufacturers and in roof-top solar and urban infrastructure. He said he will hold a meeting with the Chief Minister with a detailed presentation on their investment opportunities in the state.
· In his efforts to make Andhra Pradesh a go-all hub of healthcare, the Chief Minister asked Malvinder Singh, Fortis to actively involve in healthcare sector in the state.
· Former CIO of the United States of America, Vivek Kundra, Executive Vice President, SalesForce called on the Chief Minister. He is currently heading one of the big tech sales company that helps companies connect with customers.
