TDP national general Nara Lokesh gave a call to Hyderabadis in Urdu “Hyderabad hamara, hum sabka hota hai”. He said “We had development and we want development. Only TDP can do that.” This forms the theme of TDP campaign for TDP-BJP candidates in the Hyderabad. Lokesh, who is leading the campaign of the party for Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Elections , launched his program from AS Rao Nagar, which forms part of Uppal Assembly segnment. Incidentally, the area is predominantly inhabited by people from Seemandhra region. While defending the rights of Seemandhra people living in Hyderabad, Lokesh sought to portray himself as more Hyderabadi that Amaravatite.
“When I go to Amaravati, I have to wrack my brains to find out which road leads to where as I am not familiar to the area,” he stated or overstated, to please the citizens of Hyderabad. Then he turned his attention to Seemandhra People and said, “Hyderabad belongs to all. It will remain so in future as well. We will take care of the needs of people here irrespective of their caste, creed, religion and region.”
Lokesh was accompanied by Telangana TDP seniors such as party State unit president L Ramana, E Dayakar Rao and others. “If you look for Hyderabad city on Google search engine in the internet, you will get three milestones of the city. Charminar, Buddha Statue and Hi-tech City. Buddha statue and Hi-tech City are the real testimony to the claim that TDP founder NT Rama Rao and party supremo N Chandrababu Naidu are the two persons, who developed Hyderabad into a world-class city,” he says reminding the people who was responsible for present stature of Hyderabd.
