Superstar Rajinikanth carries a solid fan base across the globe and many of his previous films set the cash registers ringing in countries like Japan, USA, Malaysia and Australia. His upcoming film, a gangster drama titled Kabali, is gearing up for Summer release. Initially, the film was supposed to release in April, but was pushed to May as Rajini is juggling between Robot 2.0 and Kabali.
As per the latest reports from the trade circles, the Overseas rights of Kabali have been acquired for a whopping 8.5 Crores by Cine Galaxy, one of the leading distribution companies. This is a record price for South Indian films. Ranjith Pa is directing the film and Kalaipuli S Thanu is bankrolling this high budget film. Radhika Apte is the female lead.
The audio launch will take place in Malaysia very soon. Santosh Narayanan is the music composer.
