Taking the GHMC election campaign to a new height Telangana IT minister K T Ramarao, for the first time, directed his ire against the TDP boss and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu and his son Lokesh Naidu.
Addressing a gathering of software personnel in Madapur, Ramrao said what could a chief minister, who could not get anything to his home state from the centre, do to Telangana. He asked the people sitting before him to see the Amaravati plight. Naidu was not able to mobilize funds to build new capital Amaravati.
This might probably in reaction to Nara Lokesh Babu’s criticism of KCR on Sunday. TDP general secretary Lokesh while campaigning on behalf of TDP-BJP candidates, dared Telangana chief minister KCR to prove that Naidu did not develop Hyderabad. Referring to Andhra getting more houses from the Centre, he heckled KCR that he had forgot to send proposal for houses to centre sleeping like Kumbha Karna in his cozy farm house.
” Neither KCR nor his grandfather had struggled to develop Hyderabad to this level. I can proudly say it was my father and my grandfather who were responsible for the present status of Hyderabad,” Lokesh said.
In a stinging retaliation , KTR said Naidu who says he built Hi-tech city was not able get funding for the projects of his home state. Referring to Lokesh, KTR asked the TDP national general secretary to first get funds for Amaravati before thinking of Hyderabad and TRS government’s failures.
Heckling Naidu’s claims over Hyderabad city, KTR said, it would not be a surprise, if Naidu, one day, claims that internet was his invention.
He said division of Andhra Pradesh had helped the two states and the Telangana government was working with an aim of developing Hyderabad into a global city. But, in the past, Bengaluru developed faster than Hyderabad because the previous governments lacked proper perspective.
